Dotees and decorated tin

Well what have I been doing over the last couple of days? Well as you can see from the photo I have finished off 4 dotees that will be winging there way to new homes soon. Apart from all the daily living stuff, shopping housework etc I have tried to find time for some crafting as i have lots of ideas buzzing round my head but no time to do them!!!

One project that I did manage to do was for Gina's christmas challenge on the docrafts forum. I have decorated a tin to store packs of seeds in as a christmas gift for someone.see above right.

I have now started another project that has been in the planning for a while more to be revealed later!!!!

Sophie has received her weekly "Treasure" from Diane , a beautiful butterfly story card. Diane is so talented and it never ceases to amaze me what she will come up with next! thank you Diane it has been added to sophie's treasure box and will be looked at with care!

Sophie's book from Diane

Sophie just loves animals especially cats and dogs!

Busy weekend!

I don't know where this weekend has gone! With all the lovely weather Sophie and Ash had great fun in the garden. A wonderful surprise arrived for Sophie on Saturday a gorgeous handcrafted cat book made by a very kind lady called Diane whom we "met" via the the docrafts forum. Diane often sends these "treasures" to Sophie who gets great joy opening her own post!
I have lots of crafting ideas at the moment but so far no time to do them :(
Sam returned from his DofE expedition yesterday early evening, he was shattered, sunburnt and had blisters all over his feet ouch!!! we are now glad the the actual expedition that was to be next weekend has been postponed to give him time to recover! he has walked about 51km over 3 days and had to carry a rather heavy backpack. Still despite it all he said he enjoyed himself which is the main thing.

early start

Early start this morning as Sam is doing his Silver Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition this weekend and he had to be at school for 7am. Didn't sleep too well myself think it was because I knew I had to get up extra early. At least the weather is still holding out although don't think the forecast is so good for the rest of the weekend! Only trouble is that when I went to drop Ash off at school at 8.30am, Sam and his group were still there waiting for the mini bus to show up!!!! I
had to pick up a couple of bits from the shops so also got a copy of Scrapbook Magazine. Hope to get some crafting done later after catching up on dreaded housework!!!

Please be patient I'm new to this!

Well thought I'd have a go at this blogging lark!!!! Not sure how it will go as I'm not very computer literate so please bear with me!

With Sophie and the boys at school today I finally got time to do a little crafting. Stirred on to do a Bind It all project for Suzie Boo crafts challenge on the docrafts forum , I made the address book that I had planned to make months ago when I bought the inserts. I used K & Co Brookfield papers which I love!! the lettering on the front were from the Laura Ashley range but I think they go ok with the papers! Of course I had to add a Prima flower and some ribbons!!!!
